I was born on the 25th of July 1966, in Stari Grad, Croatia. I spent my childhood on the island of Hvar where I currently reside. In 2002, I opened my own atelier/studio on Hvar, in the heart of Stari Grad, returning home after 10 years of living in various European countries.

Science fiction and documentaries about the animal world fuel my imagination and serve as a source for my art. I am constantly in search of organic materials for my creations, making long walks along the coast of Dalmatian islands to find natural objects that inspire me. I collect all sorts of effluvia - beach stones, roots, bones - which I assemble into jewelry made in a simple, primal manner evoking a tribal style. After many years, I have refined and developed my technical skills of assembly so they support every aspect of my fantasies and am continually expanding my ability to connect disparate materials and ideas.

I create wearable artistic pieces for wrist and neck. The jewelry that I make incorporates beach pebbles, and also semi-precious and precious stones. I use fish bones, seagull, crow and pheasent bones, horns and fur. I also use the roots of seaweed, reeds, olive and domestic tree wood or seeds. The necklaces and bracelets return jewelry to its primeval beginnings, when objects were enshrined in personal and collective magic.

My gallery is also populated with fantastic one-of-a-kind creatures. In 2001 I created my first sculptural pieces. Their style is a melange of prehistoric, futuristic and creatures of science fiction, difficult to anchor in any sense of time. They are a 3-dimensional fusion representing imagination veering toward the future, in a manner stemming from the artistic tradition of still life. Open minds are required before entering the gallery.

For almost 10 years I have continued to use all that nature offered me, and in this way I have given life to different creatures built from one to myriads of elements. From my point of view, the material creates the beast. My entire range of materials is found naturally, collected on the beach, in attics, and from pub kitchens where I learnt the anatomy of fish heads. I take no living materials. In time, I started being gifted with raw material from all around the world - from friends and people who since entering my "World of Fantazam" stayed in touch with me. The materials, with their deep sense of the earth and sea, more appropiate for a shaman, have influenced my vision of decoration. The power of nature, received at the end of the cycle of life, resides in my creations.
